Everyday things are unfamiliar when you’re on the other side of the world, no more so than the night sky. As this is my first adventure deep into the Southern hemisphere, I’m new to gazing at the heavens from the bottom of half of the planet. While I recognize some formations, others are completely foreign. I’m not a huge star buff, but it’s always fun to look up to see what you can find.
So, with tripod in tow, here are a few snaps of my new sky.
The top photo is of a full moon through the trees. The bottom photo is a night triptych. I love triptychs.
