Many people talk about having a small wedding, but this was the perfect example of a small wedding planned to perfection. Natasha and Adrian’s wedding consisted of a small hindu ceremony in their home, formal photos in one of the cities most beautiful parks, Rosetta McClain Gardens, then a nice dinner with family and friends in their favourite restaurant downtown… perfect. I was hired for a small chunk of the day, but managed to capture them getting ready, having the ceremony in their home and then shoot at two locations for formal photos. While I didn’t shoot the reception, it was just a small gathering of their closest at a fancy restaurant in Toronto, they prioritized what was important for them regarding photography and got the shots they wanted. Smaller weddings have a little more flexibility that way, Natasha and Adrian knew I would be able to photograph everyone before and after the ceremony, and so knew I wouldn’t need to attend the reception to get loads of other photos, and saved money in the process.
