In February of this year, I went to Paris to visit my best man Mike. He had landed a post-doc in the world’s most beautiful city so I made it a point to visit him seven months into his year abroad. Although I had been to Paris in April of 2001, having a tour guide like Mike is something altogether different. He designed a historical tour of Paris that would rival any tour anywhere. Our first day took us from the Roman Empire through the Medieval period, day two was French Revolution and the great Parisian architect Haussmann, day three was existentialism. We also worked in a World Cup qualifying match between Germany and France and a day trip to Chartres. Pretty epic. While it usually takes me about a year to get to any personal photos I take, I did have a bit of time this week and thought I would share some of the photos from my trip to Paris in February. Enjoy, and as always, click on an image to view a larger version. Some of those panoramic photos are worth getting a closer look.
