Photos from the wedding of Stephanie and Gino last autumn in Markham. Ceremony was held at St. Dimitrija Solunski Macedonian Church in Markham, formal photos were taken at Markham Museum and the reception was held at Le Parc Dining & Banquet Hall in Thornhill. You’ll also noticed we had a brief stop in a No Frills grocery store as the couple first met while both working there. A simply wonderful couple with huge smiles and overflowing love for each other, I loved photographing this wedding.
For weddings on the north side of the GTA, I’ve typically recommended Main Street Unionville for formal wedding photography. It has a variety of cute locations to shoot with an outstanding charm you can’t find in many places in the GTA. To my great surprise, this past summer I had the pleasure of shooting my first two weddings at Markham Museum on Markham road, another fantastic location up north and equally as charming. Like Main Street Unionville, Markham Museum also has a cute old train station, but there is also an old train (you can’t climb on it unfortunately), about a dozen old houses, barns and storefronts as well as an apple orchard and a lot of wooden fences. Best of all, there are not dozens of people walking in and around your photos like on a busy weekend on Main Street Unionville. I have to say, I think I have found my preferred northern formal wedding photography location. I love this place!
