The fun thing about bringing an assistant to a shoot is you get to play with the lighting to get it just right, and in the process you get to take goofy photos before the main event. While I’m not sharing the goofiest from the shoot, this series of shots gives you an idea of some of lighting set-ups we created for an on-location executive portrait in downtown Toronto. We used a portable seamless backdrop, three lights and of course Matt’s charm. The shoot itself was a blast, I got all nine VPs to talk to a plastic tree… don’t ask.
