Band photos of the Iranian-Canadian Composers of Toronto I took earlier this summer at York University. It was a really fun shoot with some incredibly talented musicians, including Afarin Mansouri Tehrani, Maziar Heidari, Saman Shahi, Keyan Emami and Pouya Hamidi (who you might recognize from the shoot I had with Sacred Balance a number of years ago).
From their website: Iranian-Canadian Composers of Toronto (ICOT) is a not-for-profit organization that was founded by five Toronto-based composers and musicians in 2011. It is not affiliated with any religious or political parties. The dynamic collective, Iranian-Canadian Composers of Toronto (known simply as ICOT), delivers a thoughtful, captivating programme of new music by Iranian composers residing in Canada. ICOT has nurtured important young voices in Canada’s new music community since 2011 and found audiences afresh. See more at their website www.icot.ca
