A massive portion of a photographer’s job is looking for and understanding light. As much as we are able to control and account for any light situation, one thing we have no control over is the presence of a beautiful sunset. Nothing better. It’s no surprise, most of my favourite photos are taken within the last hour of light and the first hour of dusk. This photo of Gaby and Heidi was taken about 40 minutes after the sun went down when I quickly whisked them away from their super fun engagement party. Even that long after a sunset, with a longer shutter speed, you could still get the beautiful blue hue of the sky and the orange glow of the horizon. Awesome.
