Joseph Michael Howarth is a communications photographer who lives and works in Toronto, Canada.
His images appear on album covers, web pages, newspapers, magazines, and even sometimes, walls.
He is a frequent contributor to blogTO.com and the Toronto Community Newspapers.
In April of 2007 he returned from six months in East Africa where he worked on a number of photography projects documenting NGOs, including one he will use towards completing his Master’s Degree in Photography (M.S.) at Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications.
In 2006, joseph’s world cup project, “32 Nations, 1 City” received media attention and was featured on CBC radio and television.
In 2001 he graduated from the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana with a B.A. in the Program for Liberal Studies, also known as the Great Books Program.
He is a citizen of both Canada and the United States. Joseph has lived and worked in five continents.
